Récriture du mythe au théâtre. Il s’agira d’étudier dans son intégralité la pièce Electre de Jean Giraudoux. Le point de vue adopté pour l’analyse de l’œuvre sera celui de la récriture du mythe antique dans le théâtre moderne. Nous remontrons donc aux origines mythologiques des personnages avant de nous intéresser aux particularités de l’œuvre de Giraudoux et au tragique moderne.
ENGLISH :
Rewriting the myth in modern staging. We will study Electre, one of Jean Giraudoux’s plays, as an example of the rewriting of an antic myth in modern staging. In order to do so, we will go back to the mythological origins of the characters. We will then analyze the particularities of Giraudoux’s play, especially regarding the aspects of a modern tragedy.
